No. Renewing the same plan adds the new period on top of what you already have. The only time leftover days are lost is if you switch to a different plan mid-cycle, and the dashboard warns you before you sign.

Yes, day one. Both your TokenGate plan and member entry fees can be paid in the chain's native gas token, or in any token you've enabled.
